The Scouts built the bldg and gave it to the city who leased it back for $1 a yr. Don't know why they did that but it was a mistake, you can't trust politicians. It is estimated that rent on the land would be about 200K a year., The scouts won't pay... They shouldn't have to pay. They should not be allowed to use public land or buildings for any reason Why not let them have Scout meetings in parks? Or in school buildings after classes are over? ....they are bigots and also discriminate against nonChristians or non believers... They're wholesome upright kids. Thats why parents usually like their kids to take part. Here's the discrimination - their oath has "God" in it: "On my honor I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight." Course liberals don't like the country and morally straight parts either. That and no gay scout leaders.
