The city gave leased them the land....it didn't sell them the land...the lease was in perpetuity at $1.00 per year.... The city can tell them to take their building and get lost....or pay the rent on the land. "Why not let them have Scout meetings in parks? Or in school buildings after classes are over?" Because they have no right to excuse any part of the public from public land or property....since they maintain they are a private organization and can admit anyone or noone, the same rules apply to them... "They're wholesome upright kids. Thats why parents usually like their kids to take part." It's not the kids who are the problem, most don't know what the problem is.....they learn it from their parents.... You're right, one of the problems is the required belief in a god.....why is that required.???? Makes you a better scout, a better person? Get this into your stone mind....believers have no lock on morality.....I'll match my morality with yours any day and it wouldn't be a contest.
