So that's now supposed to be in the Senate bill? It definitely wasn't in the House bill linked yesterday.

Once again I'm "easy." I looked in the Senate bill. It's hard from the Rush piece to tell what is being quoted but, for the couple I looked up, it sure isn't the bill.

""Beginning on line 7, p. 118, section 1303 under 'Voluntary Choice of Coverage of Abortion Services'..." listen to this, "... theHealth and Human Services Secretary is given the authority to determine when abortion is allowed under the government-run health plan." "

That chunk of text doesn't say that.

""Section 1303(a)(2)(C) describes the process in which the Health Benefits Commissioner is to assess the monthly premiums that will be used to pay for elective abortions under the government-runhealth plan and for those who are given an affordability credit to purchase insurance coverage that includes abortion through the Exchange. The Commissioner must charge at a minimum $1 per enrollee per month.""

That one does but it refers only to optional abortion coverage. Rush's language seems to suggest it applies to all coverage.

No way to tell whether folks who write this stuff can't read legislation or whether they are spinning.
