I have to believe that all but a few of the Sunni's would choose the same.

If you were Sunni, OF COURSE you would prefer Saddam over a Shi'a government. They represented 20% of the population and had control over 100% of the countries resources and wealth.

But if you're a Shia, you certainly didn't want to be ruled by Saddam. Hell.. look what he did to the Marsh Arabs.

That was part of the problem and why it was a totalitarian state..
