I think the shipping companies are more responsible than the foolish couple who put themselves in harm's way, and arguably even more culpable than the pirates.

I don't see a good solution or end to this. My gut reaction is to go down and wipe out all the Somali pirates, but how do you tell them from the innocent Somalis? Neither have a decent shirt to put on.

Once this incident resolves one way or the other, I'd have our Navy go down and sink every mother ship the pirates have with extreme prejudice.
