stop for a second and look at yourself. Don't you think that is exactly how you and your GOP cohorts sound to the Independents and Democrats? You all sound like little Limbaughs and Becks to them.

I think I may very well be one of a very few people who actually does think for himself. Can anyone else on this thread claim to have been a Republican for 45 years (well, 27 years if you subtract out my first 18 years) prior to voting Democrat? That alone would indicate that I'm capable of changing my mind when the facts change.

And btw, some have questioned my claims. If you don't believe me, then you should check the history of my posts prior to 2004. I've been posting on SI since 1996 and I sounded just like you for the first 8 years. It was only in 2003 that I started questioning the GOP and Bush and then by 2004, I had decided I couldn't vote GOP again until honor and sanity had returned to the party. So my claims are completely verifiable to anyone that wants to do the research to look through my historical posts on SI.

Or if you want faster proof, ask Tenchusatsu or Tejek. Ten knows I used to talk just like him. Tejek and I used to go toe to toe debating, because I thought he was a liberal fanatic. Both will tell you that at one time, there was no question that I was a GOP member.

Can anyone else on these threads show proof that they think for themselves wrt politics? I haven't seen anyone admit to changing parties on SI other than myself.

So ask your cohorts who the real zombies are and take a deep look at yourself and what you really believe. If you are honest, you'll admit that the GOP is not so truthful and white as the driven snow on every topic and the Dems aren't wrong on every singly topic either.
