Not true. Obama has done everything in his power as President to push renewable energy in this country. His stimulus bill alone pumped $80B into the industry, the single biggest investment ever made by this country's government in the industry. He has also given free reign to the EPA to change their posture wrt GHG regulations and that has already had a dramatic effect on execution of the kind of regulation that penalizes oil and coal (read makes it more expensive and thus increases the competitiveness of renewable energy) and smooths the way for renewable energy.

In the mean time, Senator Imhoffe and the GOP continue to do everything in their power to derail any efforts to get this industry going.

Ten, why does the GOP oppose the renewable energy industry so much? I can understand the climate change skepticism, but not the attempt to squash a money-making industry in a time when we need new engines of growth. The only answer I can come back with is that the GOP is bought and paid for by oil and coal.
