I was a biologist before I went to Berkeley for my law degree. I was on the way to becoming a plant pathologist- after I decided I did not want to play God as a doctor. At the time I was considering medicine the doctor patient relationship was far less collaborative than I thought it ought to be, and I could not STAND the doctors I interned with. It was my father who wanted me to be a doctor or a lawyer. And because I loved him, I tried to do what he wanted.
