Frankly I do not want to get into this, we can go back and forth forever. for example Obama has appointed a clown who thinks trees should have lawyers. Another who admires left wing dictators. Then there was the 31 year old law school non-graduate who was one of his advisors on GM, to name a few. The point that was under discussion was her claim that Obama's appointments have somehow been superior and her criteria was that they could read and write, had education and some expertise and my point is "so what", almost all appointments fit that category. That is not much of a standard to apply to people who fill important positions. That is a standard to apply to low level appointments of little consequence. Obama has been underwhelming both in his appointments and his performance. lj
