Question for you. Were you this adamant about paying for proposed spending when the GOP was initiating 2 wars, 2 tax cuts, and a Medicare Prescription Drug plan, none of which they paid for?

That's what I don't understand, and I'm not being flippant. Why were none of you pissed as you are now back then when the GOP was running up spending on all of that, without even the pretense of trying to pay for it? At least the Dems are trying to find a way to pay for this thing. That's more credit than we can give to the GOP. If we're honest, we'll realize that the GOP is just playing a big game of pretending to be fiscally responsible now that they are out of power. The reality is that they are just as bad as the Dems, and in actuality even worse, since most of the debt on the books today was incurred by the GOP.
