These are the Left Wing Christians I've referred to many times....The media has never been made to understand that most of us know it too....they just keep tossing the Evangels in as fodder.

What the Catholic Church doesn't want people to know is that their own priests are nearly destitute after they retire. There is NO social security or medical plan for them that is paid. There is no pension. Their own parishioners help them out if they can.

Government-guaranteed "rights," in the view of the Catholic bishops, don't stop with health care. The papal "Peace on Earth" encyclical says that man has a "right" to "food, clothing, shelter, medical care, rest and, finally, the necessary social services."
