Kinda sad, but in our society, comedy spoofs probably have more power to move public opinion than most other forms of political information/news. When it comes to comedy you have a bigger chance of influencing those in the middle vs when it comes to getting "news" most just try to reconfirm existing beliefs/misconceptions. Also you're not preaching to them so they're more receptive to your message.

On that basis I love the skit. Hadn't seen the skit as I DVR everything. They do a good job, but of course China owns a bunch of agency debt that we backed up so the real figure is much higher than 800 bil. Thanks.

Daily Show was extremely effective against Bush/Fox. Still waiting for them to get in the game on Obama. Disappointed that they've been so 1-sided thus far.

I'd love to see Ron Paul do SNL as well. Show some humor and maybe give him a better shot in 2012 (at the least not seeing him marginalized in his own party when he nails it day after day).
