NY Times today has story on the long term effect of the deficit and the choices it will soon force the Treasury to make, and force the politicians to deal with those choices. Regardless of how got here--we're here, or almost here, we're almost there--decision time regarding our future.

Which one has to think is going to be constrained barring some unforeseen technological break through ( eg. almost free energy--or at least much cheaper-- from a fusion process driven by lasers--being tested now in Washington State).
