If you know anything about accounting you know that timing is everything.

It was either a mistake on your part or an intentional misrepresentation. I can't say which. But it was definitely erroneous.

The point is taken, however -- under Clinton, there was no surplus but deficits were reduced. It was a direct result of the tax cuts of the late 90s. Which is the main point I'd make.
