Yup, "government", our government, sometimes known as "We the People".

Yup, it is certainly naive and definitely idealistic to assume we can limit our "short term thinking" as so perfectly illustrated by this from you...

To attack and to try to solve our long term problems as "We the People" leaders such as FDR did and LBJ with civil rights and Medicare did (Vietnam was a terrible example of gov't "busy body" errors) is still up to "We the People" to do.

Health Care Reform to include all Americans, Climate Change and yes, Nation Building, our Nation, are the long term issues of now that need to be attacked by long term thinking by "We the People" for ourselves and the rest of the world.

Can "We the People" do it???
