No. Private insurance doesn't rely on government bureaucrats. They pay for procedures based on the terms of the policy.

It is a very sensible approach to the problem, actually. If someone disagrees, they have legal recourse.

The MC death panels will not give people this option. In fact, almost daily I see claims denied by Medicare that aren't EVER paid and should be -- because the provider says "f*ck it, it isn't worth the hassle" and eats the loss.

Medicare is about the most inefficient, incompetent government organization in existence. Far worse than IRS.
