John; So, he suggests, the timing might be dictated by the fact that federal programs to decrease unemployment are beginning to get traction. Huh? The NYTimes piece? Oh I don't get that at all - but hey, I might have missed something. .......What I get is that Krugman picks data points that he likes and ignores others. He says the market supports his thinking, but what about gold? It's just morally wrong intellectually to pick and choose and Krugman always does that. If he will explain gold and if he will discuss what this debt means in lost opportunity and if he would give some thought and discussion on how to pay it back I would respect him more. steve
