A Y2K PRICE PARADIGM
In comparing the price movement of a number of y2k stocks since 12/1 96 I was struck by the number of y2k stocks that show roughly the same % gains among the established players. This group includes IMRS,KEA,DDIM,CPWR,ACLY,MAST,MIFGY,PLAT, AND SPNSF.Over this period all have approximately doubled in price. The striking thing is that the three companies which were showing the greatest % gains by mid year have lost ground relative to the others since then. This suggests that if one or more y2k stocks spurt in price for a while there it is not long lived as there appears to be rotation going on out of one y2k stock, when it starts to plateau after a sharp run up, to other y2k stocks.
