Why would anyone but a socialist say insurance companies shouldn't be allowed to do business? They distort natural, free market decisions and promote risk taking. CDSs being a case in point. Not saying that's my opinion... just that some would see it that way. Legalized gambling... that's why it's always been regulated to the hilt. Along with money lending considered a more unsavory way of making money in our Judeo-Christian culture.
