In Sept 29 we had 0.0 inflation 3.8 unemployment, 6.2 gdp growth, prime rate 5.8 and falling, budget deficit approaching 0. Today economic indicators are little weaker but close enough. Financials are much worse. We were the world's largest creditor then and we now have the dubious distinction of being the worlds largest debtor. A few months later the whole thing went down the toilet. Why ... IMPORTED DEFLATION!! Globalization is not a new phenomena the last century actually saw more and freer trade than this one. New era ... NOT.
