Steve, I will pray for your efforts to spread Christian rock
outside of the house of God. That's where it belongs, if
indeed it belongs (I am a consumate classic rocker, and
considered a great dancer by many--sorry, no exaggeration--
and so let's not assume that the dear sister is a prig and just doesn't like rock.) and I do agree that in an era of horrendous
preoccupation with psycho-sexual and actually depraved rock
videos, that we must offer an alternative, and very quick.
I saw a published tract with my own eyes, I had it in my own
hands, I kept it
in own personal files until at last I could find it no more
(and have written to American Opinion once to see if there
still was a copy I could have, no response) where Anton
LeVey, who officially founded the Church of Satan in San
Francisco to much public hype and no condemnation whatsoever
in l966, was interviewed by American Opinion in l967--ONE YEAR
LATER--where he boasted that he would
see Satan worshipped on earth as the main deity within his
lifetime. He stated that he (HE) was going to bring this
about in two ways: rock music with satanic themes and
(strangely enough) true romance and comic books, where they
(satanists) were going to flood the media of that nature with
stories about girls falling in love with and interacting with
and turning into witches, and such, and things that we should
not be speaking of anyway. He boasted that he wrote under
several psuedonomes (sp). In l967 apparently LaVey had
several bands signed up who had pledged their lives to bringing
about the rule of satan on earth.
I SAW IT> I READ IT. BELIEVE IT! That thing had a
distribution date of 1967!!! That was over 30 years ago!!!
It has been quite successful, don't you think? Obviously
LeVay, whose flesh brother writes much, much of the musical
scores for many hollywood blockbusters, it seems, apparently
helped the satanic script writers break into world wide
prosyltism (sp) on the big screen.
This is FYI. Just so we know. The Green Berets (my father was one)
have a main motto: to fight your enemy you must know him.
However, I find it interesting that every alter in every
charismatic church on the face of the continent of North
America is now gone, as are most pulpits, even, and we
now have as an alter replacement a huge set of drums from some brother's worldly rock star wannabee days, where he can bang away in
the House of God, surrounded by rock concert amplification
apparatus, drowning out all of the human voices singing to God.
Most people find it wonderful and "the new thing". I find
it rather bonechilling.
I'm getting way to mouthy here, and do plan to move all of
this on to my personal web site where I can take all the
heat for it, but if you look up every word for praise in
strongs all four or five words relate only to THE HUMAN VOICE.
One scripture refers to musical instruments, and in the
strongs the word is only for musical instruments that can
produce a MELODY. (everything that has breathe....)
My study of noise, the word noise, as in any harsh banging,
dropping, screaming, grating or sensual sound we can make
as an offering of "praise"...well, we have different under-
standings again of what pleases God. I believe one pleases
the little god in the House of God, but how did it get in
the House of God in the first place. And I do know we
Christians love to mention the beautiful little high
sounding cymbal as a reason to do a rock rift during
praise, but, you know, we don't stay here forever...
ALL references to worship mean face down on the floor type
stuff, look it up. Do the DD.
Answers anyone? I do seek to be corrected whenever possible,
as to find the exact will of God in any matter is absolute
delight. Jack and Nathan, thank you so much for your
kind words. I'm just glad I'm not getting on too many
nerves with my "much speaking."
I believe we are all brought here as one place we can get closer to Jesus Christ, period. And so get near Him automatically connects us with the One True God. That is the power of Jesus Christ that
his enemies despise: He truly brings us to God. The Holy Spirit can then cleanses us of sin, and then the minnions of the underworld have another bright light shining in the darkness. I guess I'm just ready once again for all out war and no longer care about the
