meathead, you are incorrect..I named where the pc's are moved to and the applications are working great... Of course, the applications are realtional database management applications that my group wrote. Sr. Software engrs that work for me know that if it normally happens in hours i want it to happen in minutes or maybe seconds and if the cycle time is minutes then it difinitely is seconds. And, response times have to be instant with up times 100% or I want a root casue. I said 4 yrs old so we are talking 486 dx's and the first pentums.. go reread the post. I do not remember the bus speeds of the first pentiums since the users could care less for another I/S excuse. I approach things from my customers eyes not by giving them a bunch of I/S bullsh-- on why their system can't be fast and intuative and up all the time. all they care about is i want the system up 100% of the time and I want response times quick. I do know that one of the reasons I'm still buying p166's and p200's is this stupid 66 and sometimes 75 mhz caching bottleneck. I also know that the compnay i'm at has only had 7 months of me... still have allot of work to do, but their is great progress like inventory accuracy to 99.996% on last physical and a bunch of other good points too.
