I got your note. Althoug AXLE would have to be considered a potential acquisition target because of its relatively low market capitalization, that is not a guarantee that it is a target. Keep in mind that AXLE's management has been growing the business by acquiring other companies so they are well aware of how the acquisition game is played.

I can't see AXLE's management letting the company get acquired at the current price of the stock because they don't need to be acquired to survive. The company will be profitable for the tenth consecutive year and the benefits of the two acquisitions should really start to show up in fiscal 1998. However, if someone were to come along and offer a healthy premium over the market price, then they might consider it.
