Sure there are many reasons, but tax and regulatory burdens are a major issue.

Also if you have other problems, then there is more need to limit the tax and regulatory burden not less.

I agree with you that taxes and regulations play a role.......but I find that they are overblamed if there is such a word. Taxes and regulations are much less problem if there is good governance without corruption. If people feel they are getting something good back, they tend to be less unhappy about taxes and regulations.
