Sure... and in 'real life' the term "worldy benefits" is often simply survival in a new reality... which is really just an elaborate version of any biological species adapting to a new environment.

Interestingly as with the discussion about "development" earlier, this happens on every level of organisation. Cells, organ systems, and entire organisms all "adapt" and "evolve" according to their environment.

Further inspection shows that 'younger' organisms adapt faster... and grandchildren often then 'can't imagine' living the way grand dad did. :))
