Totally agree....It doesn't mean we can't conserve our resources, but to tax people for 'carbon thingees' is patently stupid.

So what if the US currently uses more resources per capita....Does the US help people and countries when a tsunami hits? Or flooding, or earthquake? What about the continually poor countries who don't have enough food? Doesn't the US help out there too? And what about drugs and other medical equipment/supplies....not many countries in the world have companies who manufacture these items after decades of R&D...Do all of those countries want the US to stop using resources, therefore stop bringing them help when they need it....

Do that for a decade or so, and just hear the hue and cry!
