Nobody has posted this although it was announced 10/29; if the implications aren't clear for Ascend's success then you've got cement for brains. THIS IS A HUGE ANNOUNCEMENT! 1) Sells through normal computer product sales channels. 2) Matches analog modems in price and simplicity. 3) 1MBPS - that is so fast for surfing that cable modems and the like will not offer any apparent (to the user) advantages. 4) can be used with POTS - similar to ISDN. "Rockwell expects that product and service roll-outs...could begin as early as the second half of 1998". Pete, do you have any comments to offer on this? Dee Jay
