<That people may have used other justifications before Darwin doesn't negate that Darwin was a racist and his theories contributed directly to the eugenics and "racial science" movements.>

AS far as racism, who knows REALLY... I assume most of England was racist in those days... I hear those in the Church of England even liked his theory to the extent it could be used to justify THE PREVAILING VIEW ALREADY IN PLACE in England, that English were better than others. BWTFDIK.

As to part 2, it certainly does (show no "direct" causation )... what it shows is that these types will use WHATEVER is the prevailing information in society at the time to justify their acts. It's been going on forwever... and Christs teachings themselves were used for such purposes. Period.

You are assuming without Darwin these people wouldn't doing these things... which is silly.

It's reminds me a bit of the old adage "guns don't kill people, People do".

The whole assertion clearly motivated by being "anti-Darwin"...
not by looking for the truth of why these people do these things.

For the board... I'm more "LaMarckian" than "Darwinian" as far as evolution goes, but it's clear understanding ANY form of change over time (way before either) can be used for these acts... plant and animal breeding and selection was used WAY before these guys.

This whole assertion makes no sense IMHO.

Here's something I'm not even going to read... but you might want to:

rationalrevolution.net

It's interesting your latest tirade against Darwin IS EXACLTY THE SAME LINEAR THINKING YOU SIGHT as unjustified on the topic of the CAtholic Church "causing" all the attrocities of that time. EXACTLY THE SAME LOGIC.

Sad.
