Hope you're feeling better now... And don't know about the butter in lieu of the shortening...This was the first time I made the recipe, so didn't want to experiment until I saw what would happen when I did it the right way...<gg>

Next time, I might try - I can't believe it's not butter - just to see what happens.

We use shortening so seldom, I buy a little can of it when I need it, and then toss it....

Also, use about 1/2 tsp of salt....or less. I think the baking powder has a somewhat salty taste, and didn't think more should be in the rolls...
