Hello Paul, I tend to start with a relative "small" investment and buy as I see the predictions come sooner than later.
As far as NOVL is concerned, I don't buy the stock ad the premiums on a stock like NOVL are miniscule. As I have mentioned in my previous posts, I have been purchasing Jan 5 call options recently and when the stock was trading at the $10 1/4 level all the way down to $7 3/4 over the last week.
When I believe that the stock is about to make a major move either way, then I buy short term options (1-2 months) as I have been doing with the NOV 7 1/2 call options recently.

I consider myself a trader and in no way a long term investor ....unless of course the stock I hold falls in value...like the Gold and Precious muuals fund which I have been holding and ignoring in my RRSP (aka 401K plan) for the last little while (I should have listened to Joe last year who warned me against an imminent drop to $325).

Anyway, credability is not something I am out to earn on these boards. I suppose it is the mind speaking out aloud. If I say I am going to buy, does not necessarly mean that I will...only because I have allocated the money elsewhere (I work with a limited amount in options). Besides in a rapidly falling market, I'd hate to be the one supporting it. Let the dust clear and then buy.

Hope that clears up the air. Happy trading.

V.K

P.S I am short the MSFT stock at the $133 level and hold a sizable chunk of NOV 135 and NOV 130 puts. I am hoping for adrop to the $120 level within the next two weeks. Lets see what happens.
