Nobody has said they are CAPABLE of destroying the United States. OTOH, any idiot can see this is a different world from that of Japan, the Nazis, and even the Soviets dealt with the US in.
In particular, the availability of nuclear material has grown substantially, and continues to do so. If Obama allows Iran to continue down its current path, the US could easily be threatened by any of a number of terrorist organizations.
It isn't about losing sleep over it; it is about being prudent. Unfortunately, there are so few who have both the memory and the future vision to understand the threat.
It is a simple truth that due to GWB's excellent and successful "war on terror", the left has now forgotten the danger in only 8 short years.
After 9/11 I posted here that the biggest problem to overcome in fighting the war on terror is the shortness of liberal's memories. I have clearly been proven right. |
