the "dollar index" which is a weighted index of the US Dollar vs. the other major world currencies (EUR, JPY, GBP, CAD, CHF and SEK). You make a good point... 'Cause the LAST twenty years hasn't been nearly so good for gold.... Not true... just a few years ago gold was at $400.00 the ounce, today it's nearly $1200.00 the ounce... GZ
