The Obama administration said Monday it will crack down on mortgage companies that are failing to do enough to help borrowers at risk of foreclosure

"Crack Down"? WTF? "Crack Down" how???

You borrow money on a note secured by a mortgage against real estate. You don't pay according to the mortgage terms. And now, Obama wants to "crack down" on the lenders? What obligation to lenders have other than to try to collect their money?

It is no business of the Obama Administration whether lenders want to do a GD thing other than foreclose on the collateral.

What right does a president have to "crack down" on any aspect of a transaction between two private parties? AFAIK, NONE.
