It was a slight mishap Everyone does it. Who hasn't gone out a 2:30 in the morning and crashed their expensive luxury car into a neighboring fire hydrant? Who hasn't avoided the police to hide the signs of domestic violence, or at least insisted one's spouse do so? It is just a matter of perspective.
