Huckabee would not have been trounced. I don't believe Obama could have beaten him. It is possible, but I believe Huck's public speaking ability is far better than Obama's and he comes across as honest and forthright, where Obama is clearly a snake-oil salesman. We'll never know, but the conservatives like Krauthammer and Limbaugh probably caused the election to go to the Ds.
