Looks like ol; Dingy Harry may be on the way out..............
Reid faces challenges at Capitol and in Nev. By Kathy Kiely, USA TODAY
WASHINGTON — In the Senate health care debate that began Monday, there is perhaps no more pivotal figure than Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid— a soft-spoken Nevadan with a colorful past and an uncertain political future.
As the leader of the president's party in the Senate, it will be up to him to hold together all 60 members of his caucus — a group that ranges from Sen. Ben Nelson of Nebraska, a Midwesterner who opposes abortion and any expansion of government health care, to Sen. Barbara Boxer, a San Francisco liberal who supports abortion rights and creating a government-run insurance plan.

"It's like trying to load frogs into a wheelbarrow," joked former Senate Democratic leader Tom Daschle. "They keep jumping out."
The effort to corral them is putting the spotlight on Reid, who grew up poor and paid his way through law school by working nights as a policeman in the U.S. Capitol— where he now is trying to deliver on the president's top domestic priority.
In the process, Reid hopes to avoid becoming the second Democratic leader in a row to be ousted by his home state voters. Daschle lost his Senate seat in 2004 at the height of his power.
