Looks like that bill would raise the amount exempt from estate tax to $5m per person from $3.5m ... for several years dems have been trying to keep it at $3.5m and repubs to raise it substantially higher or eliminate the tax, so this is a compromise that will probably pull in the moderates. Nelson has no choice but to support it as there are a heck of a lot of wealthy seniors in Florida.
