Nelson has no choice but to support it as there are a heck of a lot of wealthy seniors in Florida.

If the choice were framed this way, Nelson would have to think three times about such a vote. If the public narrative shifted, in other words, from cutting the estate taxes to the more realistic choice of cutting entitlements because estate taxes are being cut, then Nelson would have to deal with all those Florida seniors on SS and Medicare.
