Well, if the train would get you there as fast as the plane maybe it would work, but can the train make money or would it have to be subsidized?

I think the later otherwise we'd have private companies wanting to build these things. And before you say we should subsidize it to get cars off the road and move people more efficiently one has to ask at what cost mate?
