Any number of liberals on this thread, including me, have broken with the president over this issue.

He said he would do this before the election and he spent the better part of tonight schooling liberals on why we're there and all about Bush's success err I'm mean Obama's success in Iraq and how that same basic plan will work in Afghanistan - it was so deja vu.

Let me be clear - this is not another vietnam....not even the same...yada yada yada - for the first time in his presidency - I'm sort proud he got this one right.
