Not exactly, the Vietnam problem was somewhat different and now very much like what obumble is planning for Afghanistan... in Vietnam, the war was fought and managed from the White House and not from the field, he didn't allow his Generals do the fighting they wanted to do, we couldn't even engage the enemy without permission from the White House (and McNamara also)... LBJ though he could meter out a little bit at a time and still win the war, his heart wasn't in it... but worse than that, obumble is not only following LBJ's fatal path, and it's obvious that his heart is not in it, but he's also ignoring the Generals in the field, the very ones he put there... this is unbelievable and mind boggling... this obumble, with no experience in ANYTHING WHATSOEVER, thinks he can solve a mammoth economic problem, manage banks, manage a huge car manufacturing company to include telling them what kinds of cars to produce, and now he thinks he has the battlefield knowledge and experience of Generals in the field who he put there himself... obumble is completely out of control, he's a megalomaniac mad man gone wild...
If you thought 9/11 was terrible, then wait until we leave Afghanistan and al quaida follows us home and sets off a nuclear blast over NYC or over Washington, DC, or over Kansas City, or over any American city... when we left Vietnam, the North Vietnamese didn't follow us home and get us... al quaida will follow us home and get us, they already have, and this obumble idiot still doesn't see the obvious and clear writing on the wall...
