Because Shorty labors under the delusion that he is somehow more clever than the rest of us.

Actually, I didn't look at the date but it is obviously a projection and a spoof when you get to the bit about the basis for the arrest warrant. No person with half a brain would believe that the proposed legislation includes the basis for such an arrest let alone that the incident had occurred prior to the passage of the legislation.

OTOH, there are folks hereabouts who have been reading their worse fears into the legislation and making bogus claims about there being language actually to that effect. The claim about requiring that granny submit to end-of-life counseling comes easily to mind. So I can see how one might suspect that someone who either can't read or is indoctrinated by RW talk radio might believe that the arrest basis would be in there. But that wouldn't include me. I'm the one who keeps pointing out that the claimed scary language is just a figment. And those same folks are constantly putting into present tense things that might at some point ensue given a trend toward greater nationalization and socialization, but reasonable people know the difference between present conditions and projections.

I thought when he first posted the question that it might be because I used the past tense but I checked back and found that he, you, and I were all using past tense so that wouldn't single me out for such a question.

Probably, as you suggest, there was no good basis for the question.
