I agree that Obama isn't leading well on some issues, principally healthcare since it's so important to him. He has put his stamp on the foreign policy spectrum pretty effectively, however.

The biggest obstacle I can see is that there is no consensus on any major issue in America today, and more important, no desire for consensus and progress. Everyone has their pet list of wants and needs and objectives and a HUGE list of rants about everyone they hate for not letting them get what they want. These lists go in 10,000 directions at once and compromise is NOT on the table for most.

How can anyone lead that mess anywhere? Especially with 535 turds on Capitol Hill getting in the way too?

I don't give Obama high marks on leadership but when it comes to the American people and their woes, I subscribe to the Pogo theory.
