FWIW, note what they did during Great Depression.
Unlike now, there was actual deflation back then.
During the lost decade (from 2000) US CPI remained
quite positive, it only turned mildly negative
this year. It is possible to have deflation during
debt collapse, but more often than not debt
collapse in post WWII fiat world was accompanied
by a currency crisis and soaring inflation.
