Vi - that sounds like a reasonable assessment...

I think if the SHTF things could be VERY difficult --- for awhile.

Days, weeks, or even months.

But I am inclined to think it would not be more than WEEKS.

People adjust. Talk to someone who lives in a country where there is civil war going on. They dont stop the world for that stuff.

I actually live in the city, and like where I live. I have 6 kids (and currently as many grandkids) and dont care to move. But I did buy some land and equip it with power, water and septic (just in case) but - truth be known - I'd rather let it lay fallow.

I have some wilderness land with year round stream surrounded by Sequoia National Forest and am thinking to sell about 20 acres of it. My worst fear is that some gloomy, pasty-faced, end-of-the-world nut job (with more guns and ammo than me) would buy it.
