Joe, Heres an update from Guam NWS, thanks to Tony Martinez. NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE TIYAN GU 6 AM LST SUN NOV 02 1997 ...A TYPHOON WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FOR GUAM..ROTA..TINIAN AND SAIPAN.. AT 4AM..1800Z..SUPER TYPHOON KEITH WAS LOCATED AT 13.3N 148.6E OR ABOUT 235 STATUTE MILES EAST-SOUTHEAST OF ROTA..255 STATUTE MILES EAST OF GUAM AND 230 STATUTE MILES SOUTHEAST OF SAIPAN AND TINIAN. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE 185 MPH WITH GUSTS TO 235 MPH. SUPER TYPHOON KEITH IS MOVING WEST-NORTHWEST AT 18 MPH. KEITH IS EXPECTED TO PASS JUST NORTH OF ROTA LATE THIS AFTERNOON. Notice that they are saying SUPER TYPHOON. Makes me think that FTEL did win Best of Decade as well as Best of Show. Good Omen, hope everyone rides it out OK! Look for price to double Monday.
