Hawk, you missed the whole point (brought up by BrokenClock), it went over your head.
It did not go over my head. He claimed DC was lawless and I gave him an answer based upon the facts. Any subjective opinion regarding the political decisions taking place in DC does not rise to the level of "lawless". Our congress, as our elected representatives, MAKES THE LAWS.
There is NOTHING that is lawless about what we're doing in Afghanistan. It's been upheld by the UN, NATO, as well as the US Congress.
Furthermore, there was nothing lawless about what we did in Iraq either.
It's rather presumptuous of both you and BC to assert that, because you disagree with this nation's policies (or anything in particular) that it's "Lawless".
YOU DO NOT MAKE THE LAW, nor do I.
You can call it immoral, unwise, ill-thought, or any other number of subjective opinions, but according to our constitution and the law of the land, it's legal.
