Glad to see you share my concern.
We are singing from the same choir book, as it were.
Much like Dixon, Jefferson, Marion Barry, Rangel, Alcee Hastings and other stalwarts were.
Maybe they could appear together in concert (if they are all out of jail at the same time) where they could perform some original and extremely contrapuntal compositions
with Rangel center stage bellowing "Just accounting mistakes" from his seat at a big committee table, while Barry accompanies in the background with interjections of "The bitch set me up," and Dixon piping in, "I just took a few cards" while lugging shopping bags back and forth across the stage, and Hastings in his old judge's robes intoning, "Everyone takes a few mob bribes--especially judges," and Jefferson, wearing a refrigeration worker's suit vocalizing on a still different rhythmic and melodic pattern, "Just keeping it cool."
Just an idea. |
