ahhhh Marcie, finally another clear thinker enters our thread and speaks from the heart and mind.

Many of these people just don't get it... Oh, they are having fun now as Intel corrects, but they will surely be gone pouting away in misery in another year. They seem to think Intel lives or dies based on the next two quarters??

Sub 1K machines mean one thing to me. More and more future upgrade costumers for Intel. Sub 1K machines and there popularity, will only further the penetration rate of computers in homes and business's around the world, thus ensuring a VERY bright future for Intel.

They just don't get it...Penetration rates are only 40% in the homes of America. Wait until the rate reaches 70%! As surely as I sit here tonight it will happen within the next decade. That's nearly a doubling of the market for the greatest microproccesor company in the world! Who will compete with them?? Does AMD have the talent or management? does former Cyrix have the resources? Or will Motoralo finally discard it's RISC based chip business and take on Intel?? And what about Digital?? then there's little scrappy Integrated Device?

The funny thing is, as Intel corrects and the bears rise to the forefront of this thread. Intel's future never looked brighter. With unheard of Fab capacity, cash a plenty, and an amazing chip strategy for the next year, what reasonable thinking person would bet their hard earned money against this company??

I guess that just about says it all huh? :-)

They just don't get it...

Michael
