When the subject of the cost of war is not considered as part of the rationale in engaging in war, you know that the people making those decisions do not have the intellectual power to be in a leadership position in the first place.

The plain fact of the matter is that if we bankrupt this country in our effort to bring Democracy to the rest of the world and to crush every dictator around the world, then we will no longer be a super-power. A poor country doesn't have the ability to project might around the world. Imagine a world where the US literally cannot afford to keep the bad actors in check.

i-node, sometimes your black and white view of the world is so naive as to be laughable. Every good leader considers all angles of any decision they make, including and most importantly cost.
